Jennifer Charlton is an entrepreneur as well as a producer and host of a successful weekly radio show and podcast. Jen’s expertise in strategic organizational communications and political campaigns has been called upon for nonprofit organizations, government service, and gubernatorial and congressional campaigns.
Transforming individuals and businesses to achieve breakthrough results in a changing world and competitive marketplace is her passion. Her creativity and data-focused approach is highly effective in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Her strategic planning process has provided breakthrough results for social services and local organizations and the tens of thousands of people they serve.
For more than 10 years, Jen has produced and hosted a successful programs with dynamic speakers. Her most recent show, The Jen Charlton Show – Tellin’ It Like It Is! – draws national and listeners from across the country. Jen covers critical issues with subject matter experts from around the country and right here at home within the business community and public service sectors. Leaders offer vision and advice for overcoming today’s challenges and creating successful outcomes for businesses and communities in the future.
Jen is a partner two successful business enterprises, a real estate investment business and a thriving retail sweet treat operation, Sweeties on the Creek. Prior to going full time as an entrepreneur, she was appointed by the Secretary at the Department of Human Services as Acting Director of Communications for Baltimore City Department of Social Services and before that she was appointed as Director of Community Outreach supporting all DSS operations statewide. She also helped launch the Maryland Commission on Caregiving.
Jen began her on-air personality career at WFMD after completing her role as Executive Director of the Maryland/Pennsylvania program of Mission of Mercy, a mobile nonprofit healthcare organization. She successfully transformed the organization’s fiscal circumstances by streamlining the operations and raising critical capital. She was proud to provide the vision to expand the much-needed dental services, serving the indigent and underinsured.
Her extensive sales and marketing career began in L.A., New York and Atlanta regions working with top entertainment brands including Hanna-Barbera, Warner Brothers, Paramount, and Disney, to name a few.
